In November 2019 I traveled solo around in Thailand for 2 weeks.
Chiang Mai, a city up North in Thailand was my first stop. Here I got to attend the festivals of Yee Peng and Loy Krathong. Ao Nang, just outside of Krabi was my second stop. I enjoyed the beaches, snorkeled for the first time and went Island hopping. Bangkok was my last stop. Here I saw the sun set over the city from the 78th floor. I visited several markets, both floating, with a train and at night, and a cat café.
As a girl traveling solo, I’d definitely recommend Thailand as a solo traveler destination. I felt safe the entire time, people are friendly, it’s quite easy to communicate with people and there’s a lot of other solo travelers around.
